Nightmares Sometimes Last Forever

Recently I was driving home from work and was listening to the radio when Billy Joel's song For the Longest Time started playing. I cringed as shivers ran down my spine and I immediately switched to a different station. I felt very foolish doing this but I've had a strong dislike of that song for many years. Let me explain.
I don't remember how old I was but I know I was little, between the ages of 7 and 10. I had a dream that I was in a hot tub and a man was standing in a doorway singing For the Longest Time. He was dressed in a dark blue button down shirt, dark jeans, and had shoulder length curly blonde hair. In fact, now that I think about it, he looked a lot like Casey James. Except I like Casey and I did not, in my dream, appreciate this guy singing to me. At times during the dream my view would switch angles and I would be behind the man so that I could see my face. Sometimes my expression would be pure annoyance and sometimes it would be absolutely terrified. I didn't wake up screaming or anything but I vividly remember that dream every time I hear that song. Therefore, I cannot listen to it even though it's really a silly fear for an almost 27-year-old to have. I'm sure we all have fears like that. At least, I hope I'm not the only one.
Instead of posting that horrific song, I will post my favorite Billy Joel song.

I love Billy Joel!
Isn't it funny how music can evoke bad things/memories just as profoundly as it can good ones? There was a song used on an X-Files episode that I can never listen to anymore without getting the chills.
