Tonight was a musical free-for-all with a wide curve of highs and lows. Top performances- Once again, Adam Lambert plus Kris Allen (love this guy. And he is so cute). Worst dressed- Allison Iraheta. What was she thinking?! I about gagged. Best performance with an instrument- Scott MacIntyre. Most disappointing, again- Lil Rounds. Worse than Lil Rounds so should get voted off- Anoop Desai. Or Megan Joy Corkey, but I really like her accent when she sings.

Success!!!

Today was my first grocery shopping trip by myself with 2 little girls. My hand hurts from maneuvering 2 grocery carts through the aisles but I did not forget one thing on my list nor did I lose Lara and Genevieve. Kudos to Lara for staying inside the cart and being a good listener. :) And, might I add, that I did this without the fancy carts with TV's inside. I'm pretty proud of myself.

My Beautiful Girls

It's been a while since I've posted pictures of Lara and Genevieve. And they're so cute that I really should do so more often!

I had been trying to capture Genevieve's smiles for weeks and I finally hit paydirt!

Instead of Easter hats, I bought the girls Easter headbands. I was so excited when they arrived in the mail that I had to have the girls model them for me.

Reed had set Vivi down so that he could clean a few things. When he came back, one of our cats, Jemima, had settled down for a nap with her.

My sister-in-law and 2 nieces were visiting for 2 weeks and Lara had great fun playing with her cousin, Sarah. Here they're "helping" Grandpa do the dishes.

I must say that I think I have two of the cutest girls on the planet.

Wow, can't believe that it's the top 10 already. Yay for motown night because those songs are great! Top performances- Adam Lambert and Matt Giraud. Most disappointing but I still want her to stick around- Megan Joy Corkey. Most surprising- Anoop Desai. Should get voted off- Michael Sarver.

Melaleuca Product of the Week: Attain

3/23/2009 06:58:00 PM Edit This 3 Comments »
I asked Reed what my Melaleuca Product of the Week should be and he said "Attain." Attain is one of the weight management products and one of the tastiest. It comes in shake form and bar form and I personally like the shakes the best. Chocolate to be exact. I have an Attain shake for breakfast on the mornings that I have no time to eat before work. Attain contains a patent-pending process called Craveblocker that helps you to feel full using natural ingredients, including potato protein and oat beta-glucan. Reed prefers the Sweet and Salty bars, rather than the shakes. Although he sometimes goes for a strawberry shake for dessert. Yay!

The madness starts!

Today is the first day of March Madness, a time that I look forward to every year. No, I do not follow college basketball or basketball period. I have no idea what the different fouls are or what the lines on the court means. I just like March Madness. I love filling out a bracket which usually means picking random teams. I filled out my first bracket when I was a sophomore in college because some guys on my floor wanted me to join their pool. Since I didn't know what this meant I was a little wary of going in by myself, so the girl (who also didn't know anything about basketball) across from me split the cost. We didn't even know what the numbers besides the teams meant. We picked teams like Gonzaga and Villanova just because their names sounded cool. Or we would pick teams like Duke and Pittsburgh because we had actually heard of them. Anyways, we ended up coming in second, really ticking off the boys.

So this year I have picked North Carolina to win it all! Go team!

All the more reason for everyone to switch to Melaleuca. I'm not washing my babies in formaldehyde!

Country night brought too many songs by Carrie Underwood but, oh well. Most likely to be the dark horse- Megan Joy Corkey. Most true to himself (but weird)- Adam Lambert. Most disappointing performance- Lil Rounds. Should be at least in the top 3- Matt Giraud. Should be voted off tomorrow- Michael Sarver.

Melaleuca Product of the Week: Sol-U-Mel

3/16/2009 06:43:00 PM Edit This 2 Comments »
I love Melaleuca products so much and I think everyone should have them in their home. So much so that I have decided to do a spotlight on one Melaleuca product a week. This week's spotlight is on Sol-U-Mel.

Sol-u-Mel is one of the first products that Melaleuca created 23 years ago and it is one of the best! It is the cleaning product with the most concentration of melaleuca oil so it is very strong and gets out the toughest stains. Lara spills spaghetti sauce on her white turtleneck- I pour Sol-U-Mel on it, let it dry, then wash in cold water. The stain is gone! The best thing is, no toxic chemicals are to be found in Sol-U-Mel so it is safe for my home and family. Sol-U-Mel is also a great deodorizer so I spray it around my kitchen all the time. It also gets permanent marker off of everything so it's great for my walls since Lara has figured out that she likes to color.

Sol-U-Mel, I salute thee.

American Idol finally did a night dedicated to one of my favorite artists of all time, Michael Jackson. Although I'm glad that he wasn't actually one of the judges like they usually do during these types of shows. He probably wouldn't have been very coherent, poor guy. But I digress... Top performances of the night: Adam Lambert (but honestly, does he need American Idol?) and Scott MacIntyre. Most disappointing performance: Anoop Desai :(
Should get voted off tomorrow: Jasmine Murray (I'm not sure who the other one should be).

The first sign of spring

I saw the first sign of spring today!

Yeah, the motorcycles were out today and hopefully that means that spring is right around the corner. Someday I will ride a motorcycle just like this one. I happen to think that I'll look pretty good in a leather jacket.

Too many good ones tonight

There were too many good performances on American Idol tonight (along with the few bad ones) so I'm only posting the picture of the girl that should get through to the Top 12. I also liked Scott, Jorge, and Ju'Not. And let me just say that I am way excited for the new season of Dancing with the Stars :)
